Is an opportunity for kids from school to continue playing and training Volleyball after the school season is completed part of the Alberta Volleyball Association:

"The Volleyball Alberta Club System is one of Alberta's most popular programs. Athletes of similar ages have an opportunity to develop their volleyball skills and compete for Provincial and National Championships. Athletes tryout for various club teams around the province, once teams are selected they practice together, and the club teams register and attend the Volleyball Alberta Premier Tournaments and Provincial Championship events."

General Club information

13U Age Class - Athletes born from September 1, 2003 to Dec 31, 2004 (or later) 13U is the youngest age class that VA runs. It is designed with a focus on skill development and having lots of fun. This category leads to a Provincial Championship. Long Term Athlete Development guidelines in the Train to Train stage suggest 70% of time is spent training and 30% in competition. Fee's 1500 includes:

Practices 2-2.5 pracitces a week with 3 Alberta tournaments, and 3 Calgary tournaments.

14U Age Class- Athletes born from September 1, 2002 to December 31, 2003 (or later) 14U is designed with a focus on skill development and having lots of fun. This category leads to the Provincial Championship and to the Volleyball Canada Championships. Long Term Athlete Development guidelines for the Train to Train stage suggest 70% of time is spent training and 30% in competition. Fee's 2200 includes: includes: Uniforms/Team gear/all tournament, player, coaches, club registrations, team equipment, court time rentals, hotels cost for team on away tournaments ( includes Nationals), coaches fees, admin club costs.  From Dec 1 - May 15th

These categories of play also lead to Alberta’s Provincial Team Program for outstanding individual athletes.
